Pharmacy Marketing: Very Important Patient Club

Did you love the independent pharmacy note card program and are now trying to think of other unique ways to make your customers feel extra special? Start a V.I.P. (Very Important Patient) Club! 

It’s simple. Have your cashier ask each customer at check-out if they are in the XYZ Pharmacy V.I.P. Club. If they are, they automatically receive 10% off all non-prescription purchases each time they visit the pharmacy. 

To enroll a patient in the V.I.P. club, the cashier should explain the benefits of the program, have them complete an enrollment form, and place a bright sticker on the upper corner of the debit or credit card they use the most. 

The best part? Each time the customer uses their credit card, they will see the sticker and be reminded of your independent pharmacy and possibly something they need to pick up from the store. Not to mention, it may also increase their OTC purchase as they will save 10 percent with the special sticker. 

This program will also help build your database as each V.I.P. club member should be required to fill out a basic enrollment form that asks for the following: 

• Name
• Email address
• Preferred phone number 
• Birthday 
• Opt-in and notification preferences for email, phone, and text messages
