With a renewed focus on diversifying their core offerings — retail pharmacy, compounding, med packaging and health & wellness, Medicap more than tripled its net profit from 2017. Vitamin sales climbed to more than $7,000 a month, surpassing the goal set for 2018. Compounding sales were up $6,000 a month, which represented a 16% increase in sales. “PDS has played a big role in propelling us forward and bringing in new opportunities to improve profitability,” Bobbie says. “It’s a wonderful thing for people who are considering joining; they will learn new ways to improve their profitability.” Medicap’s Business Coach, Juliet Brown, and Performance Specialist, Stephanie Zimmerman, also have helped define their metrics. They’ve both kept him and his staff on track while teaching them how to analyze the data. Bobbie looks forward to being challenged on his strategy. He’s learned to ask himself why things aren’t working and what he needs to do to adapt.
