A PDS member since 2008, Kevin was starting to feel like PDS’ programs were geared towards newer pharmacy owners. After implementing many PDS strategies over the years, he began to think his business had outgrown his membership. “I felt like I had maxed out a lot of PDS’ value, but the data mining changed our tune on that. The drug conversion process Kevin was able to execute through data mining allowed his pharmacy to make a higher profit, as well as ensure patients were getting the best possible treatments for their specific needs. Employees at Village Discount Drugs were incentivized to help make those conversions, with Kevin creating a bonus program for employees who were successful in having doctors sign off on their medication suggestions.
Along with Leah, his wife and business partner, Kevin was also able to participate in PDS’ Advanced Leadership Program. Designed to bolster leadership effectiveness and provide business owners with the skills, strategies, and techniques to help them become more compassionate and influential leaders, the program helped Kevin re-frame how he approached some aspects of his business. Not only is he able to think differently about how he relates to his employees, the program has made him more con dent in how he deals with people and any internal situations that may arise.
